Rev. Angela Newman, BSC, Usui Shiki Ryoho, Reiki Master
Angela Newman is the operator and owner of Higher Consciousness Reiki & Meditation Center. She received her Reiki Masters from Ursuline College under Sister Ann Winters in March 2011. She began studying Reiki in 2009, and received her first attunement in 2009. Before studying Reiki, she was the sole proprietor of Oviyah Gel Candles, she taught in the public school systems in Cleveland and Euclid, Ohio. She has teaching skills in which she used to work with daycare children and to join the Charter Schools in which she taught grads 4-8th.
She received her Metaphysical Minister’s License in April 2010, which she is working towards her Master’s degree in religion. In addition to her continued studies, she received a Masters and Bachelor Degrees in History at Cleveland State University, which she focused on the cultural history on Africa, United States African American population, and Latin America. In 2013, Mrs. Newman expanded her Reiki knowledge by studying Jikiden Reiki with Frank Arjava Petter. She earned a certification in Shoden and Okuden Reiki, a Japanese form of Reiki that was originally taught Mikao Usui Sensei.
Now she has come to understand her purpose on this earth and that is to extend love to all. Mrs. Newman believes she can do this through Reiki and Meditation. Her belief is that we will all come to understand our oneness with the Infinite Power of the Universe through the healing of Reiki and Meditation.
